Over 12,000 runners join the 10th anniversary celebration of Bangsaen 21 Arunong, cross the finish line, break the 2nd field record.

Bangsaen 21-2024, the world’s only platinum running event, celebrates its 10th anniversary in grand style. This year, there are 3 champions from major marathons and almost 20 world-class elite athletes, along with more than 12,000 runners, competing to be the best half marathon runner in front of the Bangsaen Heritage Hotel.

10th anniversary

The overall result of the 1st place for men was Nibret Melak. An iron runner from Ethiopia, who crossed the finish line first with a time of 1:02.32 hours. The 2nd place was Alexander Manyao from Kenya, the champion of the TCS London Marathon 2024, who crossed the finish line with a time of 1:02.34 hours.

The 3rd place was Geoffrey Torotich Kipshumba from Kenya with a time of 1:02.36 hours. The overall result of the women was Winfrida Moseti from Kenya, who crossed the finish line with a time of 1:10.01 hours. The 2nd place was Rebecca Chelangat from Uganda with a time of 1:10.34 hours. The 3rd place was Rosemary Wanjiru Monica from Kenya with a time of 1:10.53 hours.

For the Thai runner champion, Aroonong Wongson is still going strong and can run to the finish line, breaking the course record for the second time after just breaking the record of the Bangsaen 42 Chonburi Marathon last month, crossing the finish line with a time of 1:20:06 hours, winning the Thai female runner championship and receiving a special prize of 100,000 baht from Mayor Tui, Mr. Narongchai Khunpluem, the mayor of Saensuk Municipality. Nattawut Innum continued to win the course championship for another year, crossing the finish line in first place with a time of 1.11.25 hours.

Mr. Rat Chirojwanichakarn, Managing Director of MICE & Communication Co., Ltd. and Race Director of Bangsaen21, said that the overall picture of today’s event was considered successful according to plan. This year, we had runners from more than 38 countries participating in the competition, making the competition lively, full of happiness and smiles.

With the determination to practice, coupled with the favorable weather conditions, the Bangsaen21 competition statistics have improved, whether it was breaking the course record from Thai female runners or the Top 100 statistics of male and female runners who crossed the finish line faster than last year’s record.
