Sergio Ramos insists he has no plans to retire. Even though he decided to leave Sevilla, he is likely to move to play on the Major League stage in the near future.

Sergio Ramos, 38-year-old defender, reveal after leaving Sevilla that it was a decision he made on both a personal and family level. This is despite Sevillano offering a lifetime contract like Jesus Navas received previously, according to a report from UFABET on Tuesday. 

‘I have come back to sign to pay tribute to (Antonio) Puerta, (Jose Antonio) Reyes, my grandfather and my father, who dreamed of seeing me here. I want to show them that I can still be here. Another objective is to show my Sevilla fans how to be the best. With work and determination I believe those things were fulfill in an amazing way. I leave with my head held high and my duty fulfilled.’

‘The contract said one year and I thought I had earned the right to choose. I kept my head up and wouldn’t leave if the ship sank. I’ve started this project because it is about feelings and heart and not about money. I would like to be remember for the good results I has this season. Anyone who doubted my love for Sevilla disappeared last year.’

Ramos confirmed he has received a lifetime contract from the club. It’s similar to Navas’ deal a few weeks earlier. 

‘This is a decision I made on a personal and family level. I will leave here when I arrive without talking about money. They gave me the opportunity to renew my contract for life. But I have made another decision.’

The 38-year-old defender also spoke about his future. After being link with a move to play on the Major League stage, he said: ‘It’s true that the United States is a country that attracts us very much on a family level. But to this day no agreement has been made with any team.’

‘I don’t think I’ll ever stop playing. This year I feel very good. I have the hunger to continue competing and I feel strong enough to continue.’
